According to the Christian Post Reporter, Lifeway Worship Director Pastor Mike Harland of Texas spoke at a conference for small church pastors titled "The Exchange". Harland spoke on the importance of spiritual worship and not performing for crowds from over the pulpit. The Texas Pastor stated "GOD"didn't call us to lead music or to perform worship services for the peoples enjoyment, "GOD" called us to engage people in the experience of expressing their worship and praise (GOD). "What do transformational churches do? Harland said to pastors at the conference "They dont get a rock band,they dont get a projection system,they dont get a fog machine, they show people who Jesus is and then give people the opportunity to respond to him in worship and adoration". Pastor Harland also stated "We dont want to impress crowds with our technology,our innovation or creativity but to passionately worship the ( GOD ) who saves".
