Elijah Roberts 41 year old Brunswick, Georgia native was arrested Sept.9th. in Richmond Hill attempting tp hookup with a minor to have sexual relations. Roberts was charged with sodomy, interference with custody,possession of tools for the commission of a crime, contributing to the delinquincy of a minor, and reckless conduct with H.I.V., Roberts was arrested after attempting to meet and pick up the young male at an El Cheapo gas station in Richmond Hill according to court affidavits. The boys mother intercepted text messages from Roberts to her son and pretended to be her son answering the text messages under the direction of the police. Police collected a computer, electronic storage devices, and Dvds, from the 300 block of Fawn Circle. Roberts was believed to have been very active with various roles in the Church/ Greater Works Than These Ministries but Pastor Mark Baker put those allegations to rest with the media. Roberts also worked at the main hospital in Brunswick "South Georgia Regional Medical Center" for many, many years where he was still an employee at the time of his arrest. We interviewed different people who have worked with him at the hospital and they were in "shock and awe". They couldn't believe he could have AIDS and still be working around patients and medicine everyday and how he could be in the Church all this time doing these dispicable acts. Some wondered how long he's been living a double life and messing with young underage boys. This definetely a travesty to the Brunswick area and community. How many more people are living double lives infecting innocent people everyday in Brunswick? Brunswick is known for its high AIDS rate, one of the largest in the state of Georgia. This is so sad, so sad, hopefully all the innocent victims and their families come forth so that people like this can be put away for a very long time.
