Our unity really is more powerful than an atomic bomb. The Atlanta Hip Hop community showed that recently by coming together to raise much needed funs for Grady Memorial Hospital. According to AllHipHop, they helped raise almost $100,000.

A variety of Atlanta Hip-Hop stars are joining together to improve their community by helping a local hospital raise $100,000. Hip-Hop mogul Jermaine Dupri, Frank Ski, DJ Drama, Shawty Lo, Chilli from TLC, Bobby Valentino, executives Shanti Das and Kenny Burns, Kandi (Real Housewives of Atlanta/Xscape) and numerous others launched the Give To Grady campaign today. The group started a mass messaging effort this afternoon via Facebook and Twitter, to help raise funds for Grady Hospital, which is the only Level I Trauma Center in Atlanta. Fans are being asked to support the G2G campaign by texting "GRADY" to 50555 to donate $5 to Grady Hospital, which is one of Atlanta's oldest healthcare facilities. "We are extraordinarily excited that Atlanta's entertainment community will join Grady in what may be the only grassroots fund-raising campaign of this kind in the country," said Grady Health Foundation's President, Lisa Borders.
