For the NBA and the entire pro-basketball world including its millions of loyal fans, 2010 has been a year for the ages from the playoffs, the finals, and the free-agency bonanza of the summer of 2010. This upcoming season is the most anticipated in NBA fork lore in recent years. You have the revamped two times defending World Champion L.A. Lakers going for their fourth straight finals appearance and their third straight title which is an unbelievable feat unto itself. Across country you have this new powerful "Heat" seeking missle a.k.a. the Miami Heat, revamped,re-energized, and as loaded with talent as you'll ever see in recent NBA memory. The trio of Lebron,Dwayne, and Chris have teams running for cover and dreading to play the Heat. Miami is considered the odds on favorite to win the NBA Championship over the L.A. Lakers. But the Boston Celtics back for pretty much a last grand stand has a lot to say about that especially with the addition of Shaq. Yes Shaq isn't L.A. Laker's Shaq but he's still effective in certain areas and certain times of games. The Orlando Magic refuse to be disreguarded as well. The Magic still have a lot of young talent mixed with veteran experience but is need of a floor general, a true captain to take the point with the team as well as communicate well with coaching staff. It's pretty much the L.A. Lakers versus everybody, they're still the defending Champions until some one beats them and that has become a daunting task these recent years. Popular belief is still high on the Miami Heat dethroning the champs in a seven game series. The question becomes can anyone beat the Miami Heat in a seven game series? That's a hell of a task but you have many other teams going after the Lakers and the Heat. The Lakers are proven and are battle tested, the Celtics are proven and battle tested, Orlando and Miami have yet to prove themselves and make them selves worthy of being in the argument with the Lakers and Celtics. But Miami no doubt have two of the top five players in the league right now and arguably three of the top ten in the entire league period. With all the sub-plots and story lines, this NBA season promises to be very historic and very exciting. I'm a diehard NBA supporter, I love the L.A. Lakers and have been a fan since 1979, Magic Johnson's rookie season and I still follow the Lakers today and I feel that it will be the Lakers and Heat in the finals for the next three seasons. That's the new official rivalry in the NBA.It all bolds well for the league and it brings another aspect of excitement to the game. But we all know as it stands today currently L.A. is still the team to beat but you got to respect the talent and skill level of the new improved Miami Heat.Lets get ready to rumble...................
