Grammy-winning rappers Kanye West and Jay-Z's forthcoming Watch The Throne album will possibly drop later than expected as new reports suggest the LP is slated to release in March.
According to new reports, the collaborative effort is scheduled to come out in two months.
Despite Ye's NYE claim that his joint project with Jigga, Watch The Throne, would drop sometime "this week" , sources close to Kanye and Def Jam have informed me that the album has a solid and official release date: March 1st, 2011. I was also told that the official first single, a track the public has yet to hear, is set to drop on January 11th, but could come as soon as Friday. Perhaps, that's what Kanye meant when he said it was coming this week? (Fake Shore Drive)
Over the weekend, West announced the project would be ready for retail in less than seven days.
In the Q&A session Hov revealed that "Monster," "So Appalled," "Power (Remix)" and "The Joy" were all supposed to be on the album, but the first two ended up on Kanye's My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy instead. "We went away to Bathe, England, last week," Jay said, referring to him and Yeezy. "I was out there doing some promo and we did about seven records in three days. We gonna finish another three records, [then] probably look at it to see if we should take any records off and record new ones, just to make it better. But it's coming out amazing." (XXL Mag)
