About three weeks ago, a rumor began circling the internet that Universal Pictures scheduled to bring back the entire cast of "Meet the Parents: Little Fockers" for re-shoots, in order to add Dustin Hoffman to the movie.
Entertainment Weekly has now confirmed the rumor, stating that Hoffman will indeed be reprising the role of Ben Stiller's father in four additional scenes. The actor will receive a salary equivalent to what he would have received had he been cast in the first place.
Hoffman was attached to "Meet the Parents" from the beginning, but had to drop out due to either salary issues or scheduling problems. Universal moved forward without him, but then realized that the Hoffman is needed in the movie, which apparently hasn't been testing very well
