The cult classic, the hilarious "Ghostbuster" Franchise is back and in full effect with the third installment of the comedy triogy. About a month ago, Dan Aykroyd revealed that "Ghostbusters 3" is back on track and that he's helping with the script, which has "the comic role of a lifetime" for Bill Murray.
Now comes word from Production Weekly that the new movie will head into production in May of next year. Ivan Reitman will return as the director and all four lead actors will be brought back as well. The goal is to have the film in theaters by Christmas of 2012.
Speaking of the story, Aykroyd said: "[In 'Ghostbusters 3'] my character's eyesight is shot, I got a bad knee, a bad hip — I can't drive that caddy anymore or lift that Psychotron Accelerator anymore, it’s too heavy. We need young legs, new minds — new Ghostbusters; so I'm in essence passing the torch to the new regime, and you know what? That's totally okay with me." (WORSTPREVIEWS)
