Racism still exists very much in America, dont be hoodwinked or bamboozled my dear people.Before Obama's election, not only was the country involved in wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, in what increasingly looks like a quagmire, particularly in the latter country. The economy was in a desperate state, and unemployment and health costs were rising. There was a feeling of widespread malaise in the country believed by many to be the result of an incompetent president manipulated by darker forces, an opinion widely shared throughout the world.

After the initial high of Obama's election, there is now a changed atmosphere n the country. Violence is an inescapable companion to racism. And violence, or violent outbursts racially motivated, are certainly on the increase in the U.S. Threats against President Obama have increased by 400% since President George W. Bush left office, the highest numbers on record.

What makes this situation particularly worrisome is that they come not only from fringe elements in society. Thinly disguised, they also originate from certain political leaders who seem intent on creating an atmosphere of violence and disrespect around the President and the presidency.

How else can one interpret this statement by House Minority Leader John Boehner? "There is a political rebellion going on in America, and what we saw last night was just a glimpse of it," he stated after last November's elections. One doesn't need to be a psychologist or a linguist to understand that such statements stoke the fires of rebellion, and are all the more dangerous when coming from a leader holding one of the most powerful offices in Washington.

As if this weren't enough, Boehner added, "Clearly it's been a difficult year. For us it's been like standing in front of a machine gun--liberal ideas every single week, one after another. I think it really has the American people concerned. They are scared to death, actually."

Not to be upstaged, the ineffable Mrs. Palin, vice-presidential candidate of the Republican Party during the last presidential election--and an avid hunter--told her Tea Party supporters at a recent event in Nevada, "Don't retreat, reload."

If to these dangerous words--rebellion, machine gun, scared to death, reload--one adds the recent attacks on Democratic legislators during discussion of the health care bill in which they were spat on and threatened with racial and homophobic insults one has the makings of a racially charged--and extremely dangerous--atmosphere in the country.

Although there are other causal factors as well--political, social, economic--there can be no doubt that racism plays an important role.

The country is now facing an increase of 244 percent increase in the number of Patriot groups (militias and other organizations that see the federal government as their enemy) in 2009. At the same time, there has also been an increase in the number of anti-immigration groups throughout the country. These groups grew from 173 in 2008 to 309 in 2009, a rise of nearly 80 percent.

Without an advocate for the poor, without a new state of mind in America, the country lies on the brink of anarchy. Anarchy is the complete absence of government. It's a condition of political disorder, violence and lawlessness in the society. We saw signs of it in Los Angeles after the Rodney King verdict.

America has a very short window to act, because they,the wise of this world, already know The Time. But the people that are most asleep to The Time are the Black man and woman of America and the world! You don't know The Time, and therefore you are making many serious mistakes

Anarchy may await America, due to the daily injustices suffered by the people. There really can be no peace without justice. There can be no justice without truth. And there can be no truth, unless someone rises up to tell you the truth.

The Nation of Islam can be of assistance. We desire to reason with the political and economic leadership, with the hope of formulating a cooperative effort for the benefit of us all. We want a new relationship in which we can work together for the good of the whole.

However, the desire of the wicked is to harm me and to destroy the idea that I carry, so that Black people and all who listen cannot and will not make the type of progress that time demands. This is no different from the desire of the wicked to destroy Martin Luther King Jr., Malcolm X, Elijah Muhammad, Marcus Garvey, Frederick Douglas, Sojourner Truth, Harriet Tubman, Denmark Vesey and all who have stood on behalf of the poor and rejected.

It appears that there is a genocidal plan against Black people. The desire of many of those in power is the maintenance of White Supremacy. Whites and their institutions have created inferior-minded Black people with a slave mentality. There are those who do not wish to see us as equals in the society. So generation after generation of Black people have been corrupted with a slave mentality and generation after generation of White people have been poisoned with the doctrine of White

However, the presence of truth condemns both mindsets. The time of White Supremacy and Black inferiority is over. This is why it appears that an organized effort is underway to destroy Black youth. Youth are more readily inhaling the ideas and truths that can free the mind from the former controlling forces of White supremacy and Black inferiority. Their hearts and minds are inclining toward interest in self-knowledge. As a result, there are those who fear that our youth are no longer afraid to resist White supremacy and reject its efforts.

Notice how the police and the judicial system do not treat our youth as children. Our 14-year-olds and 18-year-olds are killed in police stations and the police offer lies to explain their deaths, such as they hanged themselves with their own shoestrings and other such foolishness. All too often, the Justice Department of the U.S. government is weak in pursuing the truth about what the Black community believes are wrongful deaths at the hands of law enforcement. They fear our youth. They fear the gangs because prior to the gangs, the police were the only gang in town. Often, the police are running or compromising with the dope business, the prostitution business and the criminal element in the society. Many officials do not desire to see young Blacks organized, fearing that they may join together and one day do unto law enforcement what the law enforcement doing this to us. (HON.MINISTER FARRAKHAN)
